(PRIVACY POLICY)
Free Wi-Fi service
pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, and Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679
a) Who we are and our contact information: TIBUS S.R.L., with registered office at Largo Guido Mazzoni, snc – Rome, phone: +39 06 442595, is the company that, as the Data Controller, collects and processes your personal data..
b) Why we collect your data: The data provided is necessary to enable registration and access to TIBUS’s free Wi-Fi service.
The processing of your data will be based on the consent you provide (see point c), as well as on the provisions of the current regulations – and their subsequent amendments and/or additions – issued in this regard by the Data Protection Authority (including the Guidelines on promotional activities and combating spam of July 4, 2013).
c) Your consent: it is necessary for registration and access to the Wi-Fi service, according to the methods described in the general terms of service.
d) How we process your data: Your data will be processed electronically to enable registration and access to the Wi-Fi service, manage it, and ensure compliance with the general terms of service. During browsing, data related to the IP Address and MAC Address associated with the user will be technically processed; such data will not be stored by TIBUS and will be processed solely for the purpose of enabling browsing.
Your data will be processed for the entire duration of your registration, in compliance with current regulations, and in a manner that ensures its security and confidentiality, preventing unauthorized disclosure or use, alteration, or destruction.
e) Consequences of refusing to provide data: We ask you to provide the requested data marked as “mandatory” because it is necessary for registration and access to the Wi-Fi service, which cannot be granted in the event of incomplete or missing information.
f) To whom we communicate your data: Your data will not be disclosed and will not be transmitted to the telecommunications service provider that will provide the internet browsing service (e.g., Vodafone). Your data may be accessed by individuals authorized to process it and by the managers of TIBUS S.R.L., as well as, in their capacity as external data processors, by the following recipients: the Information Systems Department of Ikalia S.R.L., located at Via Andrea Costa 202/6, 40134 – Bologna (BO), responsible for managing our WiSpot system.
g) What are your rights: By sending a communication to the Privacy Officer – TIBUS S.R.L., Largo Guido Mazzoni snc (Rome), tel. 06 442595, gdpr.privacy@tibusroma.it, the user may exercise their rights under Article 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 at any time, including:
1) obtaining, without delay, confirmation of the existence or non-existence of personal data concerning them;
2) obtaining:
a)information on the origin of the personal data, the purposes and methods of processing, the logic applied in processing with the aid of electronic tools, the identifying details of the data controller or processors, and the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the data may be communicated or who may become aware of it as processors or authorized persons; the updating, rectification, or, if of interest, the integration of the data;
b) the deletion, transformation into anonymous form, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law;
3) to object, in whole or in part, to the processing of personal data concerning them, intended for commercial information purposes or for sending advertising material, or for conducting market research or commercial communication.
The right to obtain a copy/portability of the data related to them or to limit the processing of such data remains intact, as does the right to revoke consent to processing at any time and to file a complaint, in the second instance, with the Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Since May 25, 2018, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data has been in effect.
h) Who is the Data Processor: The internal data processor has been appointed as the Privacy Officer, whose name, along with an updated list of other processors, is available upon request in accordance with the provisions of letter g) above..
i) The user acknowledges that TIBUS is not responsible in any way for the content, accuracy, and legality of any information obtained or transmitted over the network and releases TIBUS from any liability for any damage suffered or caused to third parties through the use of the Tibus Free Wi-Fi service.
